Crestline Investors, Inc. (“Crestline”), a leading provider of fund liquidity solutions, has completed a $45 million first lien Net Asset Value (“NAV”) loan to a U.S.-based family office (the “Borrower”).
The facility is secured by direct pledges of four key assets: a TV and film production company, liquid fixed income securities, deferred compensation cash flow streams, and fully-leased student housing commercial real estate.
Proceeds from the Crestline-led NAV loan will be used to refinance existing debt at one of the underlying portfolio companies, effectively extending the maturity to support ongoing operational improvements. By utilizing a NAV loan, the family office was able to unlock liquidity from existing holdings without disrupting long-term investment positions or needing to sell assets at an inopportune time.
The transaction required a high degree of underwriting and structuring sophistication to effectively evaluate and secure the pledged collateral.
